Cumulus Clowns
Make the sky go away
take those cumulus clowns
and the strato-nimbus.
I cannot take cirrus seriously.
And when there is no cloud?
The emptiness soaks into my being
churns emotions, leaks comprehension
leaves me awed.
So that
I cannot look at the sky
it would take all of me
in a burst of wonder.

This is such a vivid and evocative piece!! The imagery of clouds and the emptiness of a clear sky is both vivid and evocative. It’s amazing how something so vast and seemingly simple can stir such deep feelings of wonder and awe.
